Lawfecta Is Building an AI-Powered Operating System to Help Attorneys Delegate Work
Legal talent marketplace expands its product vision to address a critical challenge in legal outsourcing: preparing and organizing work before handing it off.
Crestline, CALIFORNIA - October 20, 2026-- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lawfecta's product direction reflects a focus on using AI to support the organization and coordination of legal work while keeping attorneys and qualified professionals involved in its execution.
Crestline, CA | October 20, 2026 — Lawfecta, a legal talent marketplace connecting attorneys with freelance professionals and agencies, is developing an AI-powered operating system designed to help attorneys organize workflows, prepare tasks for delegation, and connect with professionals who can execute the work.
The new direction addresses a challenge Lawfecta's founder encountered firsthand: attorneys often need additional support but lack the time and documented processes required to delegate effectively.
The problem goes beyond finding talent
Lawfecta began in 2017 as a virtual paralegal agency. While helping law firms access outside support, founder Stacey M. Lake observed a recurring challenge. Attorneys could find qualified professionals, yet some struggled to assign work because their processes were not documented and responsibilities were difficult to transfer.
The problem became particularly apparent when attorneys had work available but lacked the operational structure to delegate it.
As the agency expanded into legal technology consulting, Lake helped attorneys develop workflows and standard operating procedures. In her experience, clients who received this operational support subsequently delegated more work and expanded their use of outside team members.
Those observations helped shape Lawfecta's next direction.
Building the infrastructure for effective delegation
Lawfecta is now developing an integrated AI-powered operating system intended to help attorneys move from identifying work that needs to be done to preparing that work for execution.
The planned platform is designed around a connected delegation process:
-
Identify opportunities to delegate: Help attorneys evaluate work that could be handled by outside professionals.
-
Develop workflows: Use AI assistance to structure tasks, responsibilities, and standard operating procedures.
-
Connect with talent: Bring delegation planning together with Lawfecta's existing marketplace of freelance legal and business-support professionals.
-
Support execution: Develop tools to help attorneys manage delegated work and follow through on outstanding tasks.
By connecting these functions, Lawfecta aims to reduce the operational burden that can prevent attorneys from making effective use of freelance support.
The AI Delegation Operating System is currently under active development and is not yet publicly available. Lawfecta has not announced a general release date.
Connecting AI with human expertise
Lawfecta's product direction reflects a focus on using AI to support the organization and coordination of legal work while keeping attorneys and qualified professionals involved in its execution.
Rather than treating talent discovery and workflow management as separate activities, the company is working toward an integrated system that connects them.
The planned platform is intended to serve attorneys who need additional operational capacity without necessarily expanding their permanent staff.
What's next for Lawfecta
Lawfecta will continue developing its AI delegation capabilities alongside its existing talent marketplace. Additional product details and availability information will be announced as development progresses.
